Virginian Railway Mallet locomotive

This is the largest road Mallet engine ever built having a tractive effort of 115,000 pounds, and a grate area of 99.2 square feet, the latter about the same as the Baltimore and Ohio Mallets. Six of these locomotives are in service all being fired with the Street stoker.
