PRR H30 Hopper

This 34-foot H30A series hopper, built at Altoona in the early 1950s, differs from the earlier prewar and wartime H30s in having welded bolsters. The H30s were built to haul cement, but also carried other loads, and a few were used in MOW service to carry sand for locomotive servicing. This example was donated in 1988 from Metro-North and restored to PRR colors.
