The remaining fleet of standard-cab C40-8s represent the oldest
six-axle GE power found on CSX; despite reaching the quarter-century
mark in age, they can still often be seen on the Pittsburgh
Subdivision, alongside their slightly newer safety-cab C40-8W
counterparts.
