Over 50 pages of highly detailed views of the M47 Patton from official Army training manuals, showing external details, powerplant, turret, armament, drivetrain, many interior shots, armament.

Bought as a replacement for the M46, the M47 Patton was actually a stopgap vehicle, combining an M46-type hull with the turret from the T42 medium tank. Although over 8,500 M47s were built, the type had only a short career with the US Army and MArine Corps, being quickly replaced by the M48.
